SSE has reached a cooperation with Busscar, a renowned bus manufacturer based in Brazil. 200 units of 150kW CCS2 chargers will be delivered to Pereira, Colombia to electrify its public transport. At the same time, SSE’s 120kW DC charger supplied for another well-known South American auto maker is also about to land in Bogotá, the capital of the country.

Busscar is the second largest bus manufacturer in South America. The group's business is involved in all areas of the automotive industry and sets up branches in multiple countries in South America. To help Colombia achieve the goal of 100% electrification of public transportation by 2030, Busscar is also vigorously promoting the development of electric vehicles. As to the supporting charging infrastructure, Busscar finally chose SSE to jointly complete the electric bus project of Pereira government to upgrade the local public transportation.

SSE’s 150kW CCS2 chargers adopt various smart control technologies such as intelligent temperature control, autonomous current sharing, and dynamic power distribution, etc. Its two connectors can charge two buses separately, and can also charge one bus simultaneously with ultra fast charging, which can well meet the daily operation needs of electric buses. The chargers have been successfully applied to Volvo, Heuliez, BYD and other ebus models.

As an active practitioner of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, SSE has been developing the South American market in the past few years. Its charging products covered Uruguay, Argentina, Ecuador and are further spreading in other countries.
