SSE signed a MOU with Egypt’s Ministry of Military Production(MMP) and International Marathon United Technology on Sept. 30th. SSE will be the exclusive EV charger supplier of the Egyptian military industry. Joint venture plants are expected to be set up in Egypt to produce charging equipment, to promote the construction and development of Egypt's electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The Minister of MMP, Mr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Assar attended the signing ceremony and witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.

Nowadays, the application of new energy to save resources and reduce carbon emissions has become a global consensus. The Egyptian government is also vigorously promoting the development of new energy and electric vehicles.

This year, the President of Egypt, Mr. Sisi visited China during the “One Belt, One Road” International Cooperation Summit with the ministerial delegation. MMP signed MOUs with China’s Beiqi Foton and Geely Automobile to produce electric buses and cars in Egypt. As a leading EV charger manufacturer, SSE was selected by MMP as the exclusive partner for charging infrastructure.

SSE has been actively exploring the global market these years. It has pioneered the development of a series of charging products complying with international standards, applied to nearly 50 countries around the world. Based on the cooperation with MMP, SSE  will continuously contribute to the development of new energy in Egypt and Africa.
