On April 27, the launch conference of new energy bus terminal of S Bus Company was held in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. It pioneered the application of pure electric bus in Iceland and the power source for the electric bus of this project was the charging container from SSE.

Iceland plans to completely get rid of its dependence on petroleum energy by 2050. One of the main measures taken is to vigorously develop electric vehicles. As a developed tourism country, "zero emission" pure electric bus has become the first choice of Iceland's new energy vehicle promotion plan, and the corresponding charging infrastructure construction is an indispensable power guarantee.



 

Iceland is close to the Arctic, rainy and snowy, and affected by its geographical location. In addition to the basic requirement of CE certification, Iceland's charging infrastructure construction requires very high performance of charging equipment. After investigating many charging pile enterprises, S bus company finally chose the charging container of SSE, which is precisely in view of the differentiated technical advantages of the product.

The device was first developed by SSE in the industry in 2015. It can provide pure and stable AC/DC power supply for many charging terminals according to demand, and realize power sharing and flexible charging. At the same time, the device has outstanding anti-snow, low temperature characteristics, can solve the Icelandic high-latitude geographic environment problems, even can operate steadily in the ultra-low temperature environment of - 50 degrees. During the debugging of the project, it was rainy and rainy in Reykjavik, which posed a severe test to the installation and debugging of charging equipment and on-site. SSE customer service engineers in line with the past professional and dedicated spirit, overcome the difficulties of low temperature and rainwater in the working environment, using a variety of means to ensure the rapid and efficient charging of the products, completed the debugging work on schedule, and received high praise from Icelandic customers.

The charging container used in the project consists of switch-gear, charging module cabinet and communication cabinet. The container is connected with outdoor dual-connector charger, which can charge more than 10 buses at the same time. The charging power of a single outdoor charger is 150 kW, and two 12-meter electric buses can be filled at the same time in 2.5 hours. In addition, SSE also provides customers with an advanced "SSE Cloud" charging service management platform. Users can monitor the charging situation of buses in real time on mobile phones and computers, and realize charging data statistics and queries.

The successful operation of SSE charging container matching the Icelandic New Energy Bus is of great significance for the promotion of new energy vehicles in Nordic countries. During the trial run, the project attracted a large number of visitors, including Danish public transport system, Icelandic government agencies and transport units. As the first Chinese charger company to enter the Nordic market, SSE has been recognized by many Nordic customers. More extensive cooperation will be carried out in the near future to provide green power for more Nordic users.
